ECI Unveils Its Custom AlphaLaser Precision Cutting Technology

ECI Screenprint has expanded its precision industrial cutting capabilities with the addition of a new custom-designed laser cutting and engraving system. The new system was developed jointly by ECI and Automation Alternatives to meet the increasingly complex needs of the membrane switch graphics industry. Speed, power, optical registration, and overall cutting size are a few of the advantages of ECI’s new system.

“Most laser systems have serious limitations and rely heavily on operator performance,” according to Edward Cook, President of ECI and Vice-Chairman of the SGIA’s Membrane Switch Council. “We saw the need for a laser system capable of handling the most difficult materials, while reducing human error. This technology is a significant improvement over the earlier laser systems.”
